Hello everyone!
It's been a month since our Kickstarter campaign ended and we're excited to share some updates about the status of production with you all.
Production
As you all know, we've developed some new features with the ideas that we gathered during the campaign so we decided to create at least 50 new prototypes to make sure if everything we were talking about in theory is working perfectly in real life!
Two weeks ago we ordered 50 titanium coated burr sets from Italmill to save some time while we were waiting for the funds from the KS. We'll receive the burr sets in this week. Also, since our product is coated with an anodized finish, we'll have the chance to try new colors on the new prototypes.
Backer Surveys will be out soon!
We will send out our backer surveys to collect your color preferences for your Knob Coffee Grinder, as well as shipping information, and add-on items. We will publish another update with the photos of the new color options.
Add-On Items
We've been searching for a good brush type for cleaning the grinder. The handle part will be oak but the filaments could be bristles or nylon filaments. The bristle more durable and tough and the nylon material is plastic and it's softer. Please see the picture below that was provided by the manufacturer and let us know your opinion.
The other add-on item will be the bag. It comes out choosing the best material for protecting our grinder is harder than we imagined. There is a textile called Softshell. It is made from woven fabric, making it a warm layer that brings comfort without the restriction or limitations of other materials. Although not 100% waterproof, the material is water-resistant, highly breathable, high-performing, and lasts a long time!
Timeline Update
We are on track with the timeline and most things are ticking along well. We are doing everything we can to stay on track, and so far so good. The not-so-good news is that we were informed that there will be some certification process for customs clearances. Let’s hope that the paperwork that we are going to face would be easy and not time-consuming!

Titanium Coated Burr and The Design Pack !

Hi Coffee Lovers!
- Good news! We’ve started the manufacturing process already!
- For the manufacturing purpose, we've made several meetings with the Mill company. It's not possible to manufacture a CCW burr set, but we have great news about it. Although it was a big hustle for us, We are going to use ItalMill's new creation, The V-Macino Titanium Coated Burr Set. It is more durable, more lifetime, and gives an almost total elimination of contamination of the ground coffee.
- Turns out everybody has the same idea about our foldable handle design. So we started to improve the handle mechanism. Instead of separating the knob screw for folding the handle, we made it inseparable, you will never lose the knob. It gave us another idea, now the folded version is a more space-saving design because the knob of the handle will be on top of the lid as shown above.
- Furthermore, we are working on a classy bag design for travel and to keep your grinder safe.

Knob Coffee Grinder’s launch was a major success but we didn’t stop there. We continue improving all of the features also by listening to your suggestions.
What’s next?
We’ll share manufacturing and QA strategies in the weeks and months ahead but for now, we’d just like to give you a weekly update!
We are working on an alternate handle option. We have a few versions in the works and will be focusing our attention back on further development shortly.
